Lorient celebrates the celtic tradition with musics, songs and folkloric dances

The big traditional festival of the celtic nations

The Interceltic festival was created in 1970 and has become one of the most popular and important events in Brittany and beyond !

Thousands of professional artists and amateurs get together, coming from all over the world, to please an always very enthusiastic public.

Some figures :

- 4500 artists

- 750 000 visitors 

- more than 1200 volunteers (thanks to them !)

- more than 100 shows, (60% are free)

 

Every summer, in August, 10 days of songs, danses and celtic musics

Every year, a country is the special guest of honnor, and allows us to discover and appreciate the richness and variety of cultures, whether it is the music, the songs, the arts of the folklore ...

There are plenty of animations : concerts, parades, fest noz, various contests, artistic exhibitions, sport.

Follow the big parade of the celtic nations in Lorient

Right from the beginning of the festival, it is a unique moment for you : The big Parade of the celtic nations including more than 3000 artists, dancers and musicians, parading in the streets of Lorient, in traditional costums. A spectacle not to be missed !
